Zineopedia is an online Melbourne-centric project managed and creatively controlled by Eloise Peace and Luke Sinclair for Sticky Institute, designed to serve as a cultural compendium for Melbourne (and Australia's) zine culture.
We include entries for zines which we believe are noteworthy or exceptional in their influence, originality, and/or their culturally legendary status.
Other entries include individuals or publications in the broader independent print scene, books, journals and other cultural references that contribute to Melbourne's zine culture.
We would like to thank the following people for their support and personal involvement with this project (in alphabetical order):
Vanessa Berry, Harry Butler, Paul Byron, Clinton Green, Andy Hurle, Candace Petrik, Anna Poletti, Nick Potter, Rainer Linz, John Stevens, Greg Wadley, and Ianto Ware.
& Des Cowley and the Rare Printed Collections department at the State Library of Victoria
We are always open to suggested entries or amendments. This is an ongoing work in progress and a labour of love.
